What being “in the dark” taught me.

heart of lightThere’s a song I love, byJohnny Cash, called “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”. It’s a bit of a revenge song in many ways and at one point that’s what I needed to hear. Now, there’s a line that sticks with me and I still like to hear the song because it’s gutteral and brutal and powerful.

The line in the song is

“What’s done in the dark will be brought to the light”

I love it because this is a universal theme, it can apply to our own inner secrets and regrets, the parts we are ashamed of, our battles with internal darkness such as depression, grief, anxiety and it can belong to the whole human race, where we see the greatest darkness but also the brightest lights.

My goal now in life is to bring as much light to people as I can, through my business, through being an example (maybe even, dare I say it, an inspiration to others) and eventually through study and hard work, to help those hiding in deepest darkness step into their light and SHINE. If you’re ready to step out of the shadows, drop me a message here
